Marc-Alain Mallet joined the Institute for Information Technology of the National Research Council Canada in July 2002 as the Business Development Officer IPF Manager in Fredericton. In that capacity, he is responsible for coordinating the business development functions focusing on technology transfer and commercialization at IIT's Fredericton site. This includes identifying and expanding emerging markets, developing R&D contracts and negotiating commercial licenses; and exploiting the Institute's intellectual property portfolio. Marc-Alain also manages a 14,000 ft2 technology incubator, the Industry Partnership Facility (IPF).
Prior to joining NRC, Marc-Alain occupied various positions during his 15-year career with the Government of New Brunswick. He was Director of eNB.ca, a special agency created to foster and build greater opportunities for all New Brunswickers to participate and prosper in the 21st century economy.
